Now, I’m curious now to hear YOUR experiences with colors of auras, and see any questions you have.To learn all about how to begin seeing auras click here to view our previous article. I look forward to making many more aura drawings based on my energy work. I used to think that the concept of “aura colors” was silly and made up, but the more I work as a Reiki meditation practitioner and do daily meditations, the more I realize that there is a profound and useful truth to aura colors. In my experience as a Reiki practitioner and through my own personal color meditation, a person’s aura colors can certainly change, depending on what is going on in their life, BUT they often gravitate towards a specific frequency or color that matches with their core personality and energetic vibrations. Some energy workers like myself are also artists, and could offer to show you what the unique color of your aura is, as painted, drawn, or (as in my case) represented with the magic of digital art tools. I haven’t tried this, myself, but am intrigued! Aura Drawings The resulting photos are beautiful: a person’s face surrounded by clouds of color. Aura PhotographyĬertain services exist where a photographer uses a special camera to pick up color wavelengths to create aura photography. Through this method, I’ve been able to see that my main aura color is purple, with greenish-gold mixed in at times. There are a number of free or low-cost meditation apps out there (I adore Insight Timer, myself), some of which are very specifically focused on color investigation and visualization. Finding Aura Colors by MeditationĪ second way to find your aura characteristics is to practice meditation. Oh, and don’t be nervous - learning your aura colors from a Reiki practitioner is not scary it just helps you understand where your energy is focused, and suggests possible ways to move forward or balance. To give you a window on what this process is like from a practitioner’s point of view, usually I see a person’s aura color the moment I do the first Reiki hand placement on them, but for some people, it takes about thirty minutes of the session to fully scan their body and learn what vibration ( color) of energy they are chiefly holding. Many of us are able to do so, and if the practitioner’s website doesn’t mention it, you can always email them to see if this is a capability of theirs. The first way to find your aura color is to find and book a reiki practitioner with the skill of reading aura and chakra colors. Now that we know the meanings of aura colors and have seen my aura drawings demonstrating what each looks like to me when I work with Reiki clients, how do you find what color YOUR aura is? There are several methods. A person with a black aura is likely in the middle of creating something big and wonderful - and perhaps a little scary because of the magnitude of the project.Ĭontinue Reading “What is My Aura Color?” Black is associated with Chakra Zero, or the Earth Star Chakra, which is about the fertile powers of creation of the womb or Mother Earth. Many people mistakenly think a black aura to be negative, but the opposite is true. Let’s first dive into an aura color chart of the meaning of each color (informed by my hands-on work as a Reiki healing touch practitioner and energy worker in Boston, as well as additional research), then we will go on to explain how to find our own aura color. Here, I’ve done an aura drawing to represent different manifestations of this phenomenon, and will explain each. When I work with clients, I see the colors of their auras, and that helps me guide their chakra balancing and progress. (I’m not just some random writer hired to churn out an article on auras!) Why Trust This Article?Īs background, I’m a trained and certified Reiki energy work practitioner who does hands-on aura reading and cleansing work with clients on a daily basis, meaning that my writing here is based on personal experience over many years. The specific shade of a person’s aura tells you a lot about what they’re like, because every hue corresponds with the chakra colors of the body’s energy centers, which in turn have different meanings. Whatever she stomps on would have some serious impact. In nine of the thirteen games she has appeared in to date, Rouge wears a skintight black body suit with a large pink heart-shaped breast plate, long white gloves, and white high-heeled boots with pink hearts on the toes. In English, since her debut in Sonic Adventure 2 up to Sonic Heroes, she was originally voiced by Lani Minella, who also voiced Lucas in Mother 3 In Sonic X and in all Sonic games from 2005 to 2010, she was voiced by Kathleen Delaney, and she is currently voiced by Karen Strassman, who also voiced Nanako Dojima in Persona 4 and Fantina in the English version Masters EX. In Japanese, she is voiced by Rumi Ochiai. In the current and new Rouge is 18 years old in Sonic games from the early 2000s she was originally 17. Despite her rivalry with Knuckles, they have a secret crush on each other. She is Shadow and Omega's best friend and Knuckles and Amy's arch-rival. Her current jewel obsessions are the Master Emerald and Chaos Emeralds. Despite wearing very feminine clothing, having lipstick and liking jewelry, Rouge is a bit of a tomboy, as she is tomboyish at times. She is a government agent (working for G.U.N), a self-proclaimed treasure hunter and a former jewel thief who plans to make all the gems and treasures of the world hers. She can find the pieces of the Master Emerald just like Knuckles, her rival. However, if you find that you have smaller ears, then you might find them a bit uncomfortable, especially after long bouts of use while gaming. They’re large enough to fit Adam Driver’s ears. The material feels breathable and the space provides good airflow. The interior of the ear cup is large and spacious. The inner ear pads are made with soft velour fabric. It looks sturdy at first glance but after a year flipping and un-flipping, it feels like it will become loose and gradually fall off. However, the build quality of the microphone could be better, especially if you consider that it’s from a brand like Sennheiser. I could hear every subtle electric pop, quiet layered background vocal melody, and soft synth sound while listening to Thom Yorke’s Anima. This is where you can fully immerse yourself in the music and get the best audio listening experience the headset has to offer. If you are listening to music, I recommend you listen to it in a quiet room. This can be blamed on the way the outer cups are designed. The clarity and crispness of the audio that the double transducers produce is almost unmatched but too much sound leaks in and out. However, I wouldn’t recommend them for music listening. Which might make them an awesome alternative to work headsets. If looked at from a positive perspective, this can be seen as a win, especially if you need to hear what’s going on in the outside world while gaming. Nevertheless, the open-back design makes these headsets unsuitable for a tournament or public gaming. I found myself constantly looking over my shoulder to make sure that I was indeed alone in my room. The recommendation for five (or six) microbiological samples originates from the Oxford Skeletal Infection Research and Intervention Service (OSIRIS) Collaborative, who used a simple mathematical model to evaluate the diagnostic performance of different numbers of samples 7. Our practice is to obtain five surgical specimens from different anatomical locations within the knee using a non-touch technique and clean instruments for each sample. More commonly in acute PJI, tissue samples are obtained at the time of DAIR or revision surgery. This includes additional testing, such as extended culture techniques or polymerase-chain reaction (PCR) assays. We have a low threshold for re-sampling in patients with negative initial cultures and high suspicion of PJI. In cases of chronic PJI, this may be prior to revision surgery – through biopsy either in the operating theatre or interventional radiology suite. Bedside testing using additional markers, such as leukocyte esterase, can also be considered however, clear benefit for combining diagnostic tests is yet to be demonstrated 6. For joint aspirates, samples should be inoculated into blood culture bottles to improve culture yield, and facilities should be available to report synovial fluid leukocyte counts and granulocyte percentage to improve the interpretation of results. Perhaps most important is the recommendation that patients are antibiotic-free for a minimum of two weeks prior to sampling, unless the patient is acutely unwell and these cannot safely be omitted. The document also lists strategies to improve the diagnostic value of microbiological sampling. This advocates methods to standardise diagnosis, including use of a named clinical prediction rule, such as the International Consensus Meeting (ICM) 2013 criteria 5. The British Orthopaedic Association (BOA) and British Association for Surgeons of the Knee (BASK) have recently produced a document outlining best practices for the investigation and management of PJI after knee replacement 4. This commentary will provide a rapid review of the most important aspects of this article with reference to the literature and our own practice. The main purpose of “Debridement, antibiotics and implant retention (DAIR) for the management of knee prosthetic joint infection” 3 was to describe the indications for this procedure and an appropriate surgical technique. However, the role of debridement, antibiotics and implant retention (DAIR) procedures have been given comparatively less attention. As a result, focus has renewed on single-stage revision. However, staged treatment is cost-intensive, carries significant morbidity and mortality and may be considered “overtreatment” in some cases 2. Recent literature has suggested that infection eradication rates may be similar between one- and two-stage procedures 2. Prosthetic joint infection (PJI) is a devastating complication following knee replacement, and accounts for 0.92 (0.90-0.94) revisions per 1000 patient-years 1.
